<p>PURPOSE:To treat waste paper, such as information paper scrap, to a higher density and smaller volume without packing by cutting the waste paper by a shredder for the purpose of keeping secrecy. CONSTITUTION:The waste paper 1 randomly charged onto a paper feed conveyor 2 is fed to a crusher 3 in the state of nearly a fixed amt. by the inclination, rib height, feeding out, etc., of a belt conveyor, then the waste paper is crushed. The crushed paper 1a is further smoothed in the feed rate by a feeding conveyor 4 and is sent to a screw conveyor 5. The paper is moistened and agitated by a water spraying nozzle 5a in this conveyor and is sent into a cylinder 7b of a reciprocating press 7 through a pushing device 6. The paper is compressed by a piston 7a in this cylinder, by which the water in the paper is squeezed and the paper is solidified. The solidified paper is discharged from a discharge port 7e part of the reciprocating press 7. The excess water squeezed out by and discharged from the piston 7a is again supplied into the inlet of the screw conveyor 5 by a feed water circulating pump 11.</p> |
