摘要	The roller (14) is mounted on a trunnion in a cradle (17) which is fixed to the underside of the stock rail (10). A guide plate (18) is bolted or welded to the underside of the foot (20) of the switch rail (12), and this plate (18) is profiled. The profiled underside of the plate (18) consists of a middle section (24) and two outer sections (26, 28), and forms a guideway (22) for the roller (14). The upper part of the plate (18) is recessed to accommodate the projecting flange of the foot (32) of the stock rail (10) when the switch rail (12) slides in on the slide chair (16) to contact the stock rail (10). ADVANTAGE - Reduces friction on switch rail traverse.
