PURPOSE:To automatically sets a mode corresponding to a user and to lighten the burden of the mode setting on the user by handwriting and inputting a registered signature again, and performing mode switching based on mode information corresponding to it. CONSTITUTION:A character recognition part 13 recognizes a handwritten character inputted at an input part 11 and processes the signature characteristic to the user. A registration and calling control part 14 performs a mode registration control process, a mode calling control process, etc., according to the character- recognized signature. A mode setting table 15 is a memory wherein signature information and mode information are stored corresponding to each other, and a mode setting part 16 sets various modes according to the called mode information. The registration and calling control part 14 once inputting the signature information after the character recognition retrieves it in the mode setting table 15. When the signature information is already registered in the mode setting table 15, mode information corresponding to the signature information is called and the mode switching is performed through the mode setting part 16. |
