The radiator tubes (1) and uprights (2) are made of steel and screwed together.The uprights are in the form of tubes open at their ends with a closing plug.These tubes (2) have, at regular intervals corresponding to the spacing of the tubes (1), tapped drillings (3) for fixing a female coupling (4). Sealing of the threaded connection between the drillings (3) and the female couplings (4) is obtained by an adhesive The tubes (1) have, near each end,a tapped hole (5) for a male coupling piece (6) whose thread sealing is obtained by gluing. This male coupling piece (6) has at its free end a circumferential groove (7) for taking a toroidal joint (8). ADVANTAGE - The steel tubes are cheaper than brass.
