Adhesive tape to be applied between a cathode ray tube (CRT) 1 such as for television display, and a clamping strip 5 to be arranged around the cathode ray tube. The adhesive tape 4 comprises a reinforcing fabric 6 having a layer of solvent-free adhesive 7 on one side and a heat- activable adhesive film 8.
