As the particles for display media constituting the display media used for an information display panel, in which the display media are sealed between two substrates, at least one of two substrates being transparent, and, in which the display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display information such as an image, use is made of the polymer particles having a substantially spherical shape, which contain binder resin, charge control resin and coloring agent, wherein a blending amount of monomer with charged functional group is 0.3 - 50 mol % in a raw material monomer constituting the charge control resin. According to the invention, it is possible to obtain the particles for display media having a high heat resistance and an excellent charge amount necessary for maintaining a display quality.
