METHOD FOR SETTING WRITE STRATEGY PARAMETER, AND RECORDING AND REPRODUCING APPARATUS THEREOF

A write strategy method for setting a field parameter and a function capable of setting write strategy parameter is provided to implement excellent recording quality about various kinds of discs by setting strategy parameter by using an adaptive equalizer. A write strategy method for setting the field parameter is as follows. Set up data are recorded in a disc loaded in a disk driver(301). The signal reproduced in disc adaptively is equalized(302). The equalized signal is Viterbi-decoded(303). Data which becomes with the set up data, and the Viterbi decoder and the base level used in the Viterbi non-coding are used. The difference of the signal which adaptively becomes equal and regenerative signal is detected(305). By using the fixed function, the difference is processed and the write strategy feedback error is detected(306). The detected write strategy feedback error is used. The write strategy parameter is updated presently above statement(307).
