A lamp guide and a backlight unit for an LCD including the same are provided to tilt the lamp guide, thereby preventing shading of a strip-shaped light emitting area of a lamp due to a false image of an existing lamp guide. A fixing terminal(64) is protruded from a support(62) downward. A lamp holder(66) is protruded from the support upward. The lamp holder is twisted. A support unit(68) is projected from the support upward. The support unit is higher than the lamp holder.
