Overspeed limitation device for the turbine of a turbomachine and corresponding turbomachine

The device (40) has a shearing unit for shearing bearing blades (22) of stages (30) of a turbine. The shearing unit includes a cylinder for propelling a pin (42) into a path of the blades. An explosive charge is mounted on an exhaust casing (34) of the turbine or of the turbo-machine and controlled by a detecting unit that detect that the turbine is experiencing overspeed or that a turbine shaft (24) has broken. The cylinder is mounted on an outside of the casing in a line with an orifice of the casing that opens onto the path of the blades.
