A device for charging a battery equally in a battery system is provided to perform an equal charging operation by supplying the power from the unit cell with a high charging state to the unit cell with a low charging state. A device for charging a battery equally includes a plurality of unit cells and an equally battery charging unit. The equally battery charging unit maintains the charging state of the plurality of unit cells equally. The equally battery charging unit includes a discharging resistor, a relay, and a power converter. The discharging resistor and the relay are connected to each unit cell. The power converter includes a first power terminal, a second power terminal, a transformer, a gate driver, and a battery controller. The first and second power terminals are connected to each unit cell. The transformer connects the first and second power terminals. The gate driver drives the first power terminal. The battery controller detects the current and the voltage of the first and second power terminals. |
