The tool (2) has an enclosed-ventilation housing body (4) with inlet and exhaust ports (6, 8) for cooling air flow (10). Electromotive components (12) and a permanent magnetically excited battery operated motor (14) are accommodated in the body. Magnets (22, 24) absorb magnetic or magnetizable dust. An electrical device cooperating with the magnets determines whether a substantial quantity of magnetizable dust is accumulated at the magnets. A control unit executes control measure i.e. acoustically observable indicator signal, when the substantial quantity of dust is accumulated at the magnets.
