A plasma display panel and the manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance the light transmission by preventing the yellow discoloration of the glass substrate of the plasma display panel. Transparent electrodes(180a, 180b) and bus electrode(180a', 180b') are formed in the front substrate. The oxide film(185) is formed in the front substrate. The oxide film has the purity 95% or greater. The oxide film includes one crystalline among the SiO2, ZrO2, Al2O3, TiO2, ZnO and MgO. The content of the foreign material of the oxide film is less than 5%. The oxide film of the high purity is formed by the electron-beam evaporation. The mean size of the crystallization(185a) of the oxide film is 20~30 nanometer. The thickness of the oxide film is 0.3 micrometer through 0.1. The dielectric(190) is formed on the oxide film. The oxide film is formed between the bus electrode and the dielectric. |
