摘要 A wavelength-tunable laser device for automatically controlling an oscillating wavelength, a method thereof, a wavelength division multiplexed-optical transmission system having the same, and a PON are provided to reduce the man power and time required for finding the oscillation wavelength of a wavelength-tunable laser. The outline scan is performed for a wavelength division multiplexer/demultiplexer(1004). The oscillation wavelength of a wavelength-tunable laser is adjusted to a start wavelength(1006). The output power value of a wavelength discriminator is measured(1008). The start wavelength and an end wavelength are compared(1010). The number of scan operations is increased(1014). An oscillation wavelength in which the difference between a target wavelength of the wavelength-tunable laser and an oscillation wavelength is minimum is searched.
