COMPOSITION FOR SKIN WHITENING COMPRISING THE EXTRACT OF ANGELICA DAHURICA, PRUNUS MUME, PINELLIA TERNATA, AND ARTEMISIAE ANOMALAE

A mixed extract of novel natural plant which has whitening effect is provided to suppress tyrosinase activity and melanogenesis of B16 melanoma cell. A cosmetic composition for skin whitening comprises extracts of Angelica dahurica Bent. et Hooker, Prunus mume Sieb. et Zucc, Pinellia ternata Breit and Artemisiae Anomalae as active ingredients. The extracts are isolated with water, low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, acetone, propyleneglycol, butylenesglycol, or glycerin. The mixing ratio of the Angelica dahurica Bent. et Hooker, Prunus mume Sieb. et Zucc, Pinellia ternata Breit and Artemisiae Anomalae is 1~25 : 0.5~7 : 0.01~2 : 0.5~5. The composition has skin whitening effect by suppressing tyrosinase activation and melanogenesis. The composition is used in the form of toner, lotion, cream, massage cream, essence, and pack.
