A system for managing presence and a method thereof are provided to provide and manage the presence information of a service that a user subscribes integratedly. A common information management unit(111) manages the common information of a user, and a user information management unit by server(112) manages the user information intrinsically allocated to every service that the user subscribes. A user state management unit by service(113) manages the state of the user for each service, and a presence information provider(120) matches the user state with the user information. The presence information provider provides the presence information integratedly. |
