A steering apparatus for a vehicle is provided to prevent operation error due to jamming between a stationary gear and a moving gear in the operation of a tilt adjusting lever. A steering apparatus for a vehicle comprises a distance bracket(220), a guide block(240), a support block(230), and a tilt-bracket(210). The distance bracket comprises an adhering part(223) and a flange part(227). The adhering part adheres closely to a part of the outer circumference of an outer tube(100). The flange part is connected to the adhering part to be integrated and the flange part and the adhering part are a apart from each other to be faced. A guide block is positioned between the flange parts of the distance bracket. The guide block is coupled to an adjusting lever(115) with an adjust bolt(130) through a tilt-bracket. A concave part is formed at both sides of the guide block. The support block has a projection and a supporting part. The projection is inserted into both concave parts of the guide block and rotates. The supporting part adheres closely to the flange part of the distance bracket. The tilt-bracket has a tilt slot(215) at a right angle to a steering shaft.
