A cogeneration system and a control method thereof are provided to control at least one cogeneration unit at the same time by installing a switch supplying the counter flow signal to the unit. A cogeneration system comprise a main cogeneration unit(10), a first, second, and third cogeneration unit(12,14,16), a protective relay(20), a measurement unit(22), a switch unit(30) and a blockade unit(40). The first, second and third cogeneration unit are connected to the main cogeneration unit in a row. The protective relay outputs a shut-off signal of the power. The measurement unit senses one phase among an R, S or T phase of the incoming power supplied from the power supply. The measurement unit outputs a sensing signal of the sensed phase. The main cogeneration unit outputs isolated operation preventing information and switch operating signal based on the sensing signal. The switch unit outputs the isolated operation preventing signal to the cogeneration unit based on the switch operating signal. The blockade unit blocks the received power more than the configuration power. |
