The invention discloses the malonic acid salt of 5-[[4-[2-(methyl-2-pyridinylamino)ethoxy]phenyl]methyl]-2,4-thiazolidinedione, encompassing its isomers, tautomers and/or solvates thereof, and their use for the treatment and/or prevention of diabetes mellitus, conditions associated with diabetes mellitus and certain complications thereof.
