A control method of a cable winder is provided to wind a cable through a proper speed and tension by controlling a torque and a speed of an AC induction motor. A reference speed and a reference torque are set up(S362). An encoder measures a torque of an AC induction motor(S364). In case the AC induction motor is driven after the torque of the AC induction motor is measured, a control part compares HZF measured by the encoder with 0. In case the AC induction motor is positively rotated, the control part maintains HZP to a setting data, and controls VFB into a positive value(S332). In case the AC induction motor is negatively rotated, the control part maintains the VFB to the setting data, and controls the HZP into negative value(S334). In case the AC induction motor is not rotated, the control part maintains the VFB to the setting data, and controls the HZP into 0.2Hz(S336).
