PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmittance variable electronic device of long life, having a constant spectral transmittance characteristic, manufactured easily, and excellent in a cost. SOLUTION: This transmittance variable electronic device using a thermosensitive resin composition containing a side-chain crystalline polymer is provided with a transparent substrate A, a transparent heat generation body provided tightly onto one face of the transparent substrate A, a thermosensitive resin film provided tightly onto the other face of the transparent heat generation body and formed using the thermosensitive resin composition, and a transparent substrate B provided tightly onto the other face of the thermosensitive resin film and provided opposedly to the transparent substrate A. The transmittance variable electronic device may be provided further with a filter provided tightly to anyone of the transparent substrates and constituted using a pigment and/or a dyestuff. The transmittance variable electronic device may be provided further with a transmittance control means capable of changing manually a light transmittance, and a means for detecting a temperature of the heat generation body and for correcting automatically a temperature difference between the temperature and that in a using environment, so as to set automatically the transmittance.
