It is an object to disclose a technique for providing a binding update method and the like that are configured to reduce the number of necessary messages, so that electric power consumed by a terminal device can be reduced while binding update processing time taken by both terminal devices can be shortened. According to the technique, a first mobile terminal device transmits a first couple of messages including predetermined first mobile terminal device information for the acquisition of predetermined second mobile terminal device information. The second mobile terminal device transmits a second couple of messages including the predetermined second mobile terminal device information. The first mobile terminal device transmits a third message to which authentication information generated on the basis of the predetermined second mobile terminal device information is added. The second mobile terminal device transmits a fourth message to which authentication information generated on the basis of the predetermined first mobile terminal device information is added, wherein the fourth message includes response information to the third message. When the authentication information from the first mobile terminal device is justified, the second mobile terminal device updates binding information. When the authentication information from the second mobile terminal device is justified, the first mobile terminal device updates the binding information. |
