<p>A method and an apparatus for updating location area during network switch include the following features : UE receives a location area list sent by the source network area, and the list includes at least one location area of the destination network corresponding to the source network area; after UE switches to the destination network, it will be registered to the real location area in the destination network; if the real location area is in the list, the location area to which UE is registered will be maintained. The present invention can avoid unnecessary location update in the existing scheme, and also save system signaling expense.</p> |
