The adapter (10) has an elastic part e.g. spiral spring and column, accommodated in a recess and pressed between two heights, where one height is larger than the other height. A cover (30) has a surface engaged to a wall that limits a hole in a hand tool. The surface is arranged in an opening of the recess, when the cover engages into the hole, to firmly hold the adapter in the hole. The surface of the cover lies openly outside the opening, when the cover is detached from the hole, and at the same time the elastic part has the latter height.
