<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical transmission/reception module for 10 Gbit/s in which both reduction of unwanted electromagnetic waves and cost are attained, by presenting a metal case structure wherein, with no increase in cost, an intrinsic mode frequency in the space inside a case is controlled to avoid cavity resonance at 10 GHz and 20 GHz. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical transmission/reception module, an upper case 100 and a lower case 101 constitute a metal case comprising a cavity inside it. Metal partitioning walls 103 and 104 are provided parallel, in the to-and-fro direction near the center of the case, to one or both of the upper case 100 and the lower case 101. The objective is attained by adjusting the distance of gap between the partitioning walls 103 and 104 and a printed circuit board 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
