<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a three-dimensional stereoscopic image by compositing a plurality of images without upsizing a display device and also without needing a complicated synchronization control or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic display device includes: a liquid crystal panel 2 having a first display area 21 for displaying a first image 212 and a second display area 22 for displaying a second image 222, which is different from the first display area 21; a first polarizer 31 for transmitting the first image 212 so as to be visualized on the rear surface of the liquid crystal panel 2; a second polarizer 32 for transmitting the second image 222 so as to be visualized on the front surface of the liquid crystal panel 2; and a first mirrors 51 and a second mirror 52 for reflecting the first image 212 against the rear surface of the second display area 22. The second image 222 to be displayed on the second display area 22 and the first image 212 reflected against the second display area 22 are displayed as a single image to be visualized from the front surface of the second display area 22 via the second polarizer 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
