摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightning arrester capable of reducing an installation area even when the number of device columns which are electrically connected in parallel is increased. SOLUTION: A middle plate conductor 15a, which is electrically connected by a voltage application side plate conductor and a doughnut-like interstage connection conductor 22b, and a middle plate conductor 15b, which is electrically connected by a ground side plate conductor 6 and doughnut-like interstage connection conductors 11a and 11b, are juxtaposed between the voltage application side plate conductor and the ground side plate conductor 6. Opposed part to a part connected to the voltage application side plate conductor and a part connected to the ground side plate conductor 6 are formed in a cascade manner. Element columns 18a to 21a, 18b to 21b, and 18c to 21c are distributed and arranged to the cascade opposed part. The doughnut-like interstage connection conductors 11a and 11b are arranged in a non-contact part 16f. The ground side plate conductor 6 and the middle plate conductor 15b which are adjacent to the non-contact part 16f and provided at both sided of the non-contact part 16f are electrically connected. The doughnut-like interstage connection conductor 22b is arranged in a non-contact part 17e. The voltage application side plate conductor and the middle plate conductor 15a which is adjacent to the non-contact part 17e and provided at both sided of the non-contact part 17e are electrically connected.
