PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device for vending machine, which can be simplified in structure by collectively disposing a solar panel or the like in an upper space of a vending machine, and a vending machine provided with the same. SOLUTION: A control box 6 contains a battery 3, a controller 4, and an inverter 5. The battery 3 charges power generated by the solar panel 2, and supplies the charged power to the vending machine 100. The controller 4 monitors the charging quantity of the battery 3 and feed/no feed from an AC power source, and switches a power source for driving the vending machine 100 between the battery 3 and the AC power source. The inverter 5 converts, in feeding from the battery 3 to the vending machine 100, the power from DC to AC. The outputs of the solar panel 2, the battery 3 and the AC power source are input to the controller 4 in parallel, and the output of the controller 4 is input to the vending machine 100 through the inverter 5.
