PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating a display module, an optical member, etc., in a reusable state from a composite member for a flat-panel display including an adhesive laminated portion formed by adhesive integration of a display module and an optical member such as a protective transparent plate through a transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet or an adhesive laminated portion formed by adhesive integration of two optical members through a transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet. SOLUTION: The display module and/or the optical member is separated from a composite member for a flat-panel display including a first adhesive laminated portion formed by adhesive integration of the display module and the optical member through a transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet containing a polyoxyalkylene-based polymer as a principal component and/or a second adhesive laminated portion, by putting a highly-elastic wire having a wire diameter smaller than the thickness of the transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet in the transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet in each of the first and second adhesive laminated portions from a side face of the composite member, and moving the wire in the transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet over the whole area of the composite member.
