PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perpendicular feed multi-screw extruder that implements significantly improved kneading and shearing of a processing material. SOLUTION: A plurality of screws 2 having the same required length are arranged in parallel and all the screws are covered in a cylinder 9. A force feeder 1 is disposed above one end screw 2, an outlet of a strand die 10 or the like is positioned beside the other end screw 8, and a band heater 12 is circumferentially disposed on the cylinder 9. A processing material is input from above the end screw 2 and fed in a direction perpendicular to the rotary feed direction of the screws, with the cylinder 9 and screws 2 heated if necessary.
