The tool (1) has a cutting chisel (4), a milling spindle (5) and a work piece spindle (3) arranged on a machine bed (2). The work piece spindle is pivotably arranged between the chisel and the milling spindle around a pivot axis (S1), whose direction components run perpendicular to a rotational axis (C1) of the work piece spindle. The work piece spindle is pivotable around the pivot axis for enabling necessary relative movement of the chisel and milling spindle in a radial direction to the rotational axis during machining of a lens (7) e.g. spectacle lens blank.
