<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of improving a color reproduction range and color purity of a screen image. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes a display panel that displays an image and a light emitting panel that provides the display panel with light. The light emitting panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other, an electron emission unit placed on an inner surface of the first substrate and including an electron emitting regions and driving electrodes, a light emission unit placed on an inner surface of the second substrate and including an anode electrode and a phosphor layer, and a filter layer on either the inner surface or outer surface of the second substrate for selectively absorbing light in wavelength bands ranging from 480 to 500 nm and from 580 to 600 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
