<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a carbon-containing non-fired pellet for a blast furnace, which contains 15 mass% or more of carbon by a ratio (T.C) with respect to the whole raw material, with high productivity while maintaining a cold crushing strength of 85 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>or more. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the carbon-containing non-fired pellet for the blast furnace having the cold crushing strength of 85 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>or more includes: adding a hydraulic-setting binder to a pulverized iron-containing raw material and a pulverized carbonaceous material; adjusting a mixing ratio of the pulverized carbonaceous material so that the carbon-containing ratio (T.C) with respect to the whole raw material can be 15 to 25 mass%; further mixing and granulating the mixture while adjusting the water content; and subjecting the granulated pellet to curing treatment. The curing treatment includes: leaving the granulated pellet in a yard for primary curing treatment in the atmosphere for 12 to 48 hours; charging the pellet into a shaft furnace for secondary curing treatment; subjecting the pellet to vapor blowing treatment in the shaft furnace at 60 to 90°C for 5 hours or longer; and subsequently, continuously subjecting the pellet to drying treatment so that the total treatment period of time of the vapor blowing treatment and the drying treatment can be 8 hours or shorter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
