The wrench has a tubular housing (10) comprising a wall that limits a receiving space. A working unit (20) comprises an operating head extending outward from the housing, and a shank part. A stretch sensor (30) is provided in the working unit. A release unit (40) comprises a driven element i.e. ball, that is movable between non-release and release positions. A CPU (50) is connected electrically with the sensor and the release unit. The CPU controls and moves the driven element into the release position when an applied torque measured by the sensor is larger than a preset torque value.
