<p>A contactless-type sample applicator used for TLC has a microsyringe (1) and a movable jet block (2). The jet block has a thin hole (2a) into which a needle (1b) of the syringe can be inserted, gas introduction means (2b) for introducing a gas flow into the jet block, and a jet nozzle (3) capable of being attached to and detached from the jet block, having an inner wall with a circular conical shape having the acute-angled apex, and having a nozzle hole (3a) formed at the apex of the circular conical shape and ejecting a jet flow of gas. All the elements forming the jet block are vertically slidable along the needle of the syringe. To enable suction of a liquid sample and cleaning of the syringe, the jet block moves upward up to a position at which the tip of the needle of the syringe projects from the nozzle hole of the jet nozzle. In sample application operation, to enable formation of a jet flow of gas containing the liquid sample, the jet block moves downward until the tip of the needle of the syringe is located near the opening of the nozzle hole of the jet nozzle.</p> |
