<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a vehicle that inhibits a collision body, colliding with a vehicle body, from coming in contact with a front pillar. <P>SOLUTION: The safety device 10 for a vehicle includes a headlamp 24, a headlamp drive mechanism 25 for changing a posture of the headlamp 24 with respect to a vehicle body, and an ECU for controlling the headlamp drive mechanism 25. When it is detected or predicted that a collision body collides with the front part of an automobile 11, the ECU controls the headlamp drive mechanism 25 so as to allow the headlamp 24 to take a collision body guiding posture suitable for diverting a moving direction of the collision body from a direction toward a front pillar by contact with the headlamp 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
