<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce convection losses associated with different temperature profiles in pulse tubes and cold accumulators of multi-stage pulse tubes mounted in helium gas in a neck tube of an MRI cryostat. <P>SOLUTION: In a refrigerator, convection losses associated with different temperature profiles in the pulse tubes and the cold accumulators of the multi-stage pulse tubes mounted in helium gas in the neck tube of the MRI cryostat are reduced by providing a spacer between one or more of the pulse tubes and the cold accumulators. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
