PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous gel-like composition having good sprayability without sagging after spraying. SOLUTION: The aqueous gel-like composition comprises cellulose microparticles or cellulose composite microparticles (hereinafter referred to as transparent cellulose gel) having≤2μm average particle diameter,≤100 DP (average degree of polymerization) and≤50% crystallinity, an ionic compound, and water. The aqueous gel-like composition can be sprayed from a sprayer equipped with a spraying means by pressurization. The composition has 0.4-2.0 degree of etherification and comprises sodium carboxymethyl cellulose having 1-1,000 mPa s viscosity of a 1 wt.% aqueous solution at 25°C with a Brookfield type viscometer in an amount of≤1 pt.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. of the cellulose microparticles or the cellulose composite microparticles and has viscosity of 2,000-10,000 mPa s measured at 60 rpm of rotor revolutions at 25°C.
