SURFACE COATING LIQUID, INKJET RECORDING METHOD, AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface coating liquid which can improve the scratch resistance of a recorded article without spoiling the texture of a recording medium or the picture quality of an image being recorded with a pigment ink, and also, to provide an inkjet recording method and an inkjet recording apparatus which enables the superior image formation.

SOLUTION: This surface coating liquid is applied to a region which includes at least an image formed on the recording medium by using the pigment ink containing a pigment. The surface coating liquid contains at least a resin A which forms a resin layer on the surface of a pigment layer, and a resin B which is fixed by penetrating into pores of the pigment layer.
