<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell stopping the supply of fuel when the temperature of the fuel cell rises to the prescribed value or higher, and making the fuel supply function after that impossible. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell 100, heat reversible gelled fuel 104 is used as fuel, and vaporized fuel produced by vaporizing the heat reversible gelled fuel 104 is supplied to a fuel electrode 102 through a fuel electrode side gas diffusion layer, and when becoming the prescribed temperature or higher, liquified fuel produced by liquefaction of the heat reversible gelled fuel 104 moves to the fuel electrode side gas diffusion layer to shut off the supply of the vaporized fuel. The fuel cell 100 generates electric power by supply of the vaporized fuel produced by vaporizing the heat reversible gelled fuel 104 at lower than the prescribed temperature, and at the prescribed temperature or higher, the liquified fuel produced by liquefaction of the heat reversible gelled fuel 104 moves and penetrates into pores of the fuel electrode side gas diffusion layer, and the supply of the vaporized fuel is shut off to stop power generation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
