<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte fuel cell capable of exhibiting superior sealing properties and adding an appropriate fastening force, through alleviation of an uneven in-face contact pressure distribution between a membrane electrode assembly and a separator. <P>SOLUTION: As to end plates used in a fastening structure, a face at a unit cell module side is to be of a recessed shape, in which a site fastened with a fastening member is the thinnest and a site farthest from the fastening member is the thickest, while, it is flattened after fastening, so that a load is to be uniformly added on a whole face of the unit cell module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
