<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for obtaining intention and preference of a browsing person carefully and properly displaying the most suitable advertisement. <P>SOLUTION: A server 20 searches data about a first Web page data (the Web page of a news site, etc.) received from a terminal 10 for a predetermined keyword. According to the result of the search, the server 20 sends property data, i.e., a keyword matching a predetermined keyword, to the terminal. The terminal 10 in turn displays an association for a character string related to the matching keyword, according to the property data. Upon the selection of the character string related to the matching keyword, the server 20 sends advertisement data previously stored in the server 20 and associated with the keyword to the terminal 10.
