<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alignment division type semi-transmissive IPS liquid crystal display device with high yield, high transmittance, high reflectance and high contrast. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a transmission part 101T and a reflection part 101R on each pixel 100, arranges a first alignment processing part 170 and a second alignment processing part 171 so as to provide a partial superposition region 172 on the reflection part 101R, and generates a region in which a liquid crystal alignment direction always continuously changes in a boundary between the transmission part 101T and the reflection part 101R. The first liquid crystal alignment region 170 is wider than the transmission part 101T, and the second liquid crystal alignment region 171 is narrower than the reflection part 101R. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
