PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device and the like, as an example of a problem, allowing even users (such as doctors) unskilled in the operation of the medical image display device to intuitively, easily and clearly discriminatingly recognize images displayed on the medical image display device as a plurality of images that the user wants to observe. SOLUTION: This medical image display device visualizing at least one piece of volume data by a raycasting method includes: a color acquisition means, by at least two or more color acquisition functions, for giving color in visualization to a voxel included in one piece of volume data; a color acquisition means computing means for computing a new color acquisition function corresponding to the color acquisition function on at least one of the color acquisition functions; and the visualization means for visualizing at least one of the volume data by the raycasting method using at least one or more new color acquisition functions.
