<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative hinge device capable of exerting unconventional action effect, and an electronic device using the hinge device. <P>SOLUTION: The hinge device comprises a first member 1 and a second member 2 which are rotatably connected to each other. It also comprises a cam part 3 rotatable in accordance with rotation of the first member 1, and a cam engagement part 4 rotatable in accordance with rotation of the second member 2, which are relatively rotatable to each other. At least either of the cam part 3 and the cam engagement part 4 is provided to be relatively movable in an engagement release direction against energization of an engagement energizing mechanism 5. As the cam part 3 and the cam engagement part 4 rotate relatively to each other, a projection 3A provided on the cam part 3 and a recess 4A provided on the cam engagement part are energized by the engagement energizing mechanism 5 to be engaged in drop-in engagement, in the middle of which relative rotation energization force is generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
