<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element having a reflective structure which has superior weatherability, high reflection capability, and is reduced in thickness. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting element includes a semiconductor structure 11 having a light-emitting layer 8, a light-extracting surface 18 formed on one main surface of the semiconductor structure 11, and an electrode 3 which is formed on the other main surface opposite to the light-extracting surface 18 and is connected electrically to the semiconductor structure 11. A reflective structure 20 is formed between the semiconductor structure 11 and the electrode 3. The reflective structure 20 has a reflective layer 16 formed on the semiconductor structure 11, and a dielectric multilayer 4 which is formed on the reflective layer 16 and is composed of a plurality of dielectrics. The refraction factor of the reflective layer 16 is smaller than the refraction factor of the semiconductor structure 11, and the center wavelength of the reflection spectrum of the reflective structure 20 is longer than the emission peak wavelength of light from the light-emitting layer 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
