<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an easily browsable image of enhanced contrast, by correcting an image of one pixel pitch affecting mostly display of an adjacent pixel, even in the image after resolution-conversion-processed. <P>SOLUTION: Fellow pixel values of the adjacent pixels are compared each other as to an image data, to determine the pixel (peak pixel) with the pixel value getting minimum or maximum, and the pixel value of the pixel adjacent to the peak pixel is brought close to the pixel value of the peak pixel. In concretely saying, fellow pixel values of the respective adjacent pixels are compared using each pixel of the image data as a correction-objective pixel, using the one pixel adjacent to the correction-objective pixel as the first reference pixel, using the other pixel as the third reference pixel, and using the pixel in a position with the first reference pixel with respect to the correction-objective pixel therebetween, as the second reference pixel, the propriety as the peak pixel is determined as to the first reference pixel, and the pixel value of the correction-objective pixel is brought close to the pixel value of the first reference pixel, when determined as the peak pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
