摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating furnace which can surely conduct gradient heating and reverse gradient heating, and to provide a method for controlling a temperature of a material to be heated. <P>SOLUTION: The heating furnace 1 for heating a material to be heated which has been charged into the furnace 1 such that the longitudinal direction of the material to be heated becomes perpendicular to the transporting direction of a transportation path provided in the heating furnace 1, while transporting the material along the transportation path, includes: a plurality of thermal-storage type combustion devices 4 which are arranged on both sides of the transportation path in between a 1A side of the charging part and a 1B side of the extracting part in the heating furnace 1 and alternately combust; and a plurality of continuous type combustion devices 5A to 5D which are installed in the upper side of the transportation path, are continuously arranged along a longitudinal direction of the furnace in between the midpoint of the transportation path and the end of the extracting part 1B, are arranged so as to be divided into a plurality of regions along the width direction of the furnace, and can control a combustion amount of each of the regions independently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
