摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device capable of reducing circuit load, thereby efficiently suppressing occurrence of scroll noise and reducing adverse effects to the service life of a light source. SOLUTION: The electrooptical device comprises: a display panel having a plurality of pixels; a signal output circuit which outputs a timing signal with a presctibed period; a driving circuit which drives the display panel with the period of the outputting of the timing signal; the light source from which the display panel is irradiated with light rays through AC driving, according to a prescribed light source signal; and a frequency control circuit which changes a frequency of the light source control signal in the range of the prescribed frequency, with such a timing, as to have a prescribed relation to an output timing, in a period of time, until an integer-fold time of the prescribed period is elapsed, starting from the output timing of the timing signal.
