PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double feed state detector of a paper sheet printer capable of simplifying a structure of the detector for detecting any double feed state of paper sheets, easily performing the spacing setting work between a detection roller and a feed roller with a simple constitution, and preventing any breakage of the printer. SOLUTION: A detection roller 12 capable of changing a spacing from a feed roller 11 is vertically moved integrally with a block 13 to be vertically moved by a stepping motor S via a rod 15. When a worker pushes a two-sheet detection adjustment button, a control unit feeds a paper sheet P between both rollers, and the block 13 is lowered together with the detection roller 12. When a projecting piece 15a of the rod 15 is detached from the limit switch 14, the block 13 stops its lowering. Thereafter, the block 13 is elevated, and the work is completed when the projecting piece 15a is brought into contact with the limit switch 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
