<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new power generation element using a piezoelectric vertical effect. <P>SOLUTION: The power generation element 100 includes: a first piezoelectric elements 110 including electrodes 111 sequentially laminated on a base material 102, a first piezoelectric material layer 113, and an electrode 112; a second piezoelectric element 120 including electrodes 121 sequentially laminated on the base material 102, a second piezoelectric material layer 123, and an electrode 112; and a vibrating member 101. One end 101a of the vibrating member 101 is fixed to the electrode 112. The other end 101b of the vibrating member 101 can vibrate in a direction which is parallel with a direction 105 in which the first piezoelectric material layer 113 and the second piezoelectric material layer 123 are connected. The first piezoelectric material layer 113 is polarized in a polarizing direction 114 which is parallel with a direction in which the electrode 111 and the electrode 112 are connected.
